Allied Health

      Freshmen begins with twelve weeks of Explore which allows incoming freshmen the opportunity to experience two weeks in six techncal areas of interest. During the time of Allied Health Explore students will be given opportunity to experience clinical tasks within a simulated health care environment.  Students will be evaluated based on pre explained criteria that includes knowledge and skill in addition to ability to meet expectations of the health care industry. Please refer to Explore document. At the end of the explore experience students prioritize choices of shops explored in order of choice one through six.  The lists are then given to shop Department Heads for selection of students based on predertimined number of available  openings.   Once students have been assigned a shop area they begin freshmen trade.  This usually begins at the end of second quarter.
