Graphic Communications

The philosophy of Graphic Communications is to offer a widely diverse and individually unique student body and integrated vocational /technical, academic and cultural experience, in a safe environment, enabling them to become responsible, confident, ethical, competent, and productive members of society, prepared for employment and higher educations, who can contribute to our complex community and workplace. Graphic Communications delivers an integrated learning experience in a safe environment that ensures everyone succeeds.

The necessity of the Printing Industry is often overlooked despite the never-ending need for printed materials. Graphic Communications will teach students the importance of this industry and give them the skills they will need to obtain a high paying job.  With guidance, the students develop the ability to turn creative ideas into personalized printed products such as business cards, memo pads, envelopes, and letterhead.  Students will also learn how to manage the classrooms printing company, thereby creating a rewarding environment for themselves and their customers.

Student Portfolios

Students learn to design and print a wide assortment of printed products. Each student is responsible for creating and maintaining a professional job portfolio.

Opportunities

Throughout their four year education, students are prepared for entry level positions in any New England graphic communications workplace.
