Chapter 5 - Creating the Network Design
Determining how to design the network to meet the business goals is a multistep process. For each business goal, the designer must determine what network changes are necessary to meet the goal. Each change has technical requirements that can be addressed by elements of the network design.   After the design elements have been determined, the designer takes into account any constraints applied by the customer and makes compromises or trade-offs as necessary. All design decisions are evaluated on how well they meet the four primary technical requirements of scalability, availability, security, and manageability
